Time

By applying for permanent residency in Canada independently, you save from 10 to 50% of time it takes to apply with the services of an immigration consultant.

When working with a consulting company, especially if it is a large firm or a well-known immigration consultant who has hundreds of cases under his supervision, the client and his file once again become part of a bureaucratic mechanism. Inside this bureaucratic machine, each email, fax or phone call has a certain queue depending on the amount of workload. Therefore, the client receives each message on average 2 to 4 weeks later that s/he would have received it if it were sent directly to the client from the Embassy.

Typically, during the immigration process, the client receives 4 to 6 messages from the Consulate/Embassy; sometimes, this number rises to 10. In this case, it is easily seen that the process is then delayed for 3 to 6 months and sometimes more. The time loss becomes obvious in the mailing of important documents to the Embassy through the immigration company, which adds another stage to an already prolonged immigration process.
