- Some foreign nationals do not require a visa to visit Canada. They are citizens of the following countries:

- Individuals lawfully residing in the United States of America as Permanent Residents (Green Card or other proof of permanent residence

- Nationals of British-dependent territories who obtain their citizenship through birth, descent, naturalization or registration (Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Pitcairn, St. Helena or the Turks and Caicos Islands)
- Individuals born, registered or naturalized in Hong Kong who are holder of a British National or Overseas Passport issued by the UK government
- Holders of a valid "Special Administrative Region passport" issued by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China
- Holders of travel documents or passports issued by the Holy See
